The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia has an opening for an Engineering Clerk.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • File and organize records, manuals, and project files.
  • Enter data into engineering and maintenance software.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
  • Track work orders, equipment records, and project progress.
  • Order office and engineering supplies.
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate with engineers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Assist with purchase orders, invoices, and inventory records.
  • Update databases with revisions to drawings and specifications.
  • Answer phones, emails, and perform general office duties.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and filing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of engineering terminology and drawings (preferred)
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Additional Responsibilities in Manufacturing or Utility Environments

  • Maintain preventive maintenance records.
  • Track equipment repairs and parts inventory.
  • Prepare documentation for regulatory inspections.
  • Assist with engineering change notices (ECNs) and document control.
